Character History

Physical Description:

Casually wandered on down the trail, soon coming within sight of some civilization after probably being out in the wilds for some times; his home. This man that strode into the pub was of a fairly imposing height, and from that alone, he looked as if he could be intimidating. At 6'5 and weighing approximately 172 pounds, he was of a medium and lean build. Broad shoulders tapered to a lean waist revealing a muscular build, but not a super bulky one. He appeared handsome, though relatively nondescript, least he thought so anyways. Women seemed to think he was fairly damned handsome.

His emerald green locks of hair fell to his shoulders, and was highlighted with jade and pale green highlights. More often than not, it was finger-raked and left to dance wildly about his shoulders. Sometimes it would be pulled back in a pony tail or stylishly braided in a warrior fashion.

His hauntingly piercing, mesmerizing, enchanting eyes were the hue of brightly polished sapphires, gleaming as bright as polished gems. These orbs to his soul revealed much, when he allowed a person to become close. When angered, or in a predatory mode, some claimed they appeared stormy grey as though a storm within was being unleashed. A ready smile was usually on his lips, especially around those he cared about.

His attired seemed to be well made, yet functional, perfect for just about anything. He was usually well dressed, but comfort was a big factor. He was often garbed in a pair of form-fitting, yet comfortable leather pants in earthy or dark hues and the same went for his shirts. Pull over shirts which conformed to his torso were usually worn under other pull over's or sometimes button-ups; depending on his mood,

It appeared he'd bought some new clothing finally, his stuff didn't look too worn out anymore. More often than not, his eyes popped due to the hue of his attire. Under a cloak of fine greenish grey, this towering man could be mistaken for anyone.

His new leather boots were proof that he was well traveled; his old pair was just used for work now. A stag pendant necklace with tiny sapphire eyes hung about his neck on a leather cord, and leather bracers protected his forearms. Far as other jewelry went, there were no rings on his hands, and there golden hooped earrings in his ears.

Scars adorned his body from neck to lower leg. Fights and years of warfare had taken their toll on mind, body, and soul. Blades, bows, daggers, stingers, the talons of beasts, and Draconic acid had done horrific damage to his body over the years. Most recent, had been a near death battle with a Black Dragon, a beast who almost killed him again. Bones had been broken and healed as well. Perhaps the only unscarred parts of him was the soles and palms of his hands and feet, his bum, and his face.

Death had claimed him many times, yet somehow, he has always been returned to life. Was it a blessing, curse, or both?

He was armed with a few weapons too, which had seen pools of blood galore, His backpack was filled with various things. A finely made quiver of dark brown leather was carried on his back, wherein his arrows were stored. All of his weapons were razor-sharp, seemingly he'd either spared no expense, or perhaps they were gifts. His longswords which were strapped to his hips in scabbards of black, were battered from much battle and warfare, but still in pretty good shape. Either way, they were evidence that he liked well-made weapons, not rusty heaps of metallic shavings.

Daggers bearing twin hilts were buried in his boots and last, but by no means least, was his composite longbow, black as the dragons scales which nearly killed him. It was strapped to his back next to his quiver full of arrows.

History:

Casxio was born in a small fishing village on the west coast of Ailar. His grandfather, Ravynis, was a Ranger, as was his father, Nevryn. Ravynis would rise early most mornings and take the young Casxio out into the woods and show him the skills needed to carry on the family tradition. And a way of life that would last him through many trials and hardships. The task fell to his grandpa and remained as such until he was old enough to adventure on his own. His father had been killed when he was 10, fighting to protect the village against the giants which occasionally attacked.

Upon taking up his adventuring life when he was just 15, he traveled the realm, discovering he favored the sea, and longed to travel across it. This he did for quite a few years. One day, when in his early twenties, he was surprised when he found himself agreeing to be hired by a mage for protection during his quest to find components for a new spell he was working on.

During the voyage, Casxio came to appreciate the work involved in being a mage, and was interested in the working of the spells. Upon the end of his hire, he asked the mage to take him on as his apprentice. This he did. From that point, he stayed with the mage, and they worked on many spells together, selling those they could and using them to help impoverished villages. However, it was when traveling that he uncovered a plot. Someone meant to kill the mage.

A death warrant had been issued by a collection of evil thieves. They wanted his head, and for the mage would stop his good work. Seems the mage and perhaps even he had pissed off the thieves. In secret, on a brutally stormy night, Casxio implored one of the most powerful thieves guilds in the area to intervene. The master thief asked a high price for the service. One in which he wasn't sure he could stomach agreeing too. Seems he would have to in order to save his friend.

The price?

The indenture of Casxio to the guild, and his agreement to train in the arts of the thief. This he agreed to, most reluctantly, to save the life of the mage. He initially begrudged the training, but then came to find a natural flair, and liking for the life of a thief, which he has decided is his life quest…to be master of his own guild. Of course, he keeps this secret.

Things change..life happens and many surprises came and went. There came a day when he met a pink haired girl while living in Veril. Her name was Inyx, and she was a Larja, he later found out. The day she stole his hat, a seed had been planted, one of friendship. As it budded and grew quickly, the pair's friendship blossomed into love. From that love, came a marriage, and a child.

Not only did he have a child with her, but two children from a previous relationship in his travels. He had met an Ice Sprite, and her companion, and from their union, because he loved them both, twins were born. One babe to each lady. Casxio Jr and Adora were born. Cas Jr. had wound up with silvery blue hair, and Adora had platinum golden tresses, and a heart birthmark on her left shoulder.

Inyx took them in and when Rhiannon Joy was born, he thought everything was perfect with his world, despite having to fight monsters and tend to his duties as a ranger. There was much happiness for him back then. Until, as with all tales of love, a horrible tragedy befell the duo.

First, a great war, wherein the champions of good didn't prevail. They watched their beloved home and city become over-run with the armies of undead. Forced to flee in order to survive, he took his family upon his boat and they sailed to Caran, after watching their home sink below the waves. Jeanvelle Manor was forever gone, never to rise again. So was Veril.

Adrift for days, they eventually wound up on Caran, and there made another home. Things were again mostly fine for a while, til the Dajara came. And the night in which, through no fault of his own, he lost -everything-. Again. He had simply being going to the Serene for a drink, then home. He never made it to either place.

How would a man survive losing everything, and everyone he loved?

As for how he lost his beloved family, what he thought would his home for the rest of their lives, it was a portal. A time-traveling portal. It had appeared behind him on the street, a street just two or three over from the inn. And he had been sucked into it, despite struggling not to be. Somehow while falling, spinning, and probably cursing and screaming within that portal, he not only lost his family, but his magic too.

Stripped of his powers, he landed harshly in Lyria, in an alley, brutally crashing onto the street and falling unconscious.

Little did he realize as he blacked out from cracking his skull on the pavement, that he was two centuries into the future. A world he knew, and was still part of, yet didn't know.

Upon waking later that night, he had climbed onto a roof to have a look around in a frantic panic. Wondering what had happened, where he was, what he would find out, and more importantly, would he find his family. Many questions plagued his mind, but before those questions could be answered, he was brought to his knees by grief, sorrow, and the loss of bonds with animals. His Bond had been severed, his mind was torn to shreds yet again.

War, battles, seeing things no man ought know about, and now the rending of his mind from the loss of his animal companions had ravaged his mind. How long he remained on the roof, he wasn't certain. He still wasn't quite sure if Enfurion showing up was a dream or not.

Apparently his brother, his comrade in arms, his best friend, had shown up and taken him from the roof into the woods. It was in those woods he stayed, struggling to salvage not only his mind, but himself. Food and drink didn't seem much of a need for a few days, but somehow or another Enfurion got it into him.

Eventually Enfurion left him, and he had to make his own way now. Plagued with grief, he struggled to survive. Eventually he found the Serene again, even his old room. He crashed there for a while, and still does. Slowly he began to figure things out. Even met people.

New friends and old were made or reunited with. He wasn't sure how folks he knew from two hundred years ago had survived, but they had. For a long while, he thought they'd be dead, either dying when Veril sank or from the Dajaran war. So when he ran into or does encounter someone he knew, it's always a shock for him.

Many believe and are of the opinion that he should be long dead, but with his track record of dying and returning, he seems very damned hard to kill. Someone keeps bringing him back, so he'll return to life as long as folks keep dragging him back. He's an unsung hero, and now that he's two centuries into the future, he aimed to make sure the Jeanvelle name was one to be feared and respected again.

His enemies of old, those who remained, would cower and cringe in fear. His friends, he'd strive to protect them.

As for those he loved, he would die ten thousand times if need be to save them.

Yvonne Trudeau, Evie to him now. He'd met her some months ago, maybe even a year or so now. She had become the flame in his darkness of sorrow, grief, and loneliness. He was just recently brave enough to admit he was finding happiness again, and that he enjoyed having her in his life.

Her flame began as a flicker in his life and steadily it has grown to a full bore flame. Feeling engulfed in her presence, her embrace, and warmth, he has found comfort again. And happiness. He was determined that her flame wouldn't be extinguished, but become an inferno so that their budding romance would not become a pile of ashes to be blown away on the wind.
